A set of 3 Christmas ornaments hand made from real oyster shells. Available in silver and gold. 

“A while back, we attended an oysters and champagne -party.  After savoring our appetizers, we observed the waiter cleaning away the oyster shells destined to be thrown in the trash. Given our appreciation for these beautiful creations of the Sea, we just couldn´t let them go to waste. So we kindly asked if we could take the trash with us.  And so we did. Carrying the trash bag in the dark of night, pleasantly tipsy from the champagne, we came up with the idea of turning these oyster shells into one-of-a-kind ornaments. 

The process of turning trash into decoration calls for dedication and willingness to get your hands a bit dirty. First, they’re scrubbed and boiled. The heat of the water removes any lingering impurities. It’s almost alike a ceremonial process — as though we´re preparing each piece for the festive role it’s about to play. Once cleansed and dried, a small hole is drilled to allow a ribbon to be threaded through, transforming the shell into an ornament ready to hang. Finally, the shells are lightly misted with a delicate spray of either gold or silver, giving them a festive glow that complements their ocean-born textures.

We like to think our oyster ornaments are more than just decorations—they’re an ode to sustainability, a tribute to raw beauty untouched by mass production.
